Profile
Welcome to the Kingsteignton Website
We are a warm and friendly vets in Newton Abbot, offering a package of total healthcare - from nutritional advice to complex diagnostics and surgery - for dogs, cats, rabbits, small furries and exotic animals within a modern pleasant environment. As pet owners ourselves, we are committed to ensuring your pets have the very best treatment and care that they can and because of this, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons has awarded Small Animal Practice status for our continued high standards. In addition to this, we have been trusted in the Newton Abbot areas of Kingsteignton, Chudleigh and Bovey Tracey for over 110 years.
We have certificate holding vets in the fields of Exotic Pet Medicine and Small Animal Surgery, and we are a referral practice for Exotic Pets from other Veterinary Practices.
Why use Kingsteignton Veterinary Group?
We pride ourselves in offering a really high standard of care for your pets and you, as the client. We are very different from other practices, as we believe the devil is in the detail, and your pets, as part of your family, need the best quality of care that is available, whilst still be friendly and approachable. Our facilities and standards are one of the highest locally, and we only use veterinary nurses to monitor your pets anaesthetics (which shockingly is not a legal requirement).

Diagnostics
We are well equipped to diagnose your pet's ailments with hospital standard x-ray machines and automatic processors, ultrasound, endoscopy and on-site laboratory back up for same day results on blood tests, helping us to diagnose your animal's illness more quickly.
Surgical Procedures
Our Kingsteignton surgery has fully equipped modern operating theatres with monitoring equipment, piped oxygen and sevofluorane (one of the safest anaesthetics available) anaesthesia. All our patients are monitored by qualified Regsitered Veterinary Nurses whilst under anaesthetic.
Dentistry
Many people don't realise just how important your pet's dental health can be. Dental disease in your dog and cat can cause many more problems than just bad breath! Left unchecked, dental disease can cause abscesses and infections that can spread through the body, adversely affecting other internal organs. Have us check your pet's teeth and gums on a regular basis, with our Registered Veterinary Nurses running free of charge dental check ups, throughout the year. We at Kingsteignton Veterinary Group can provide anything from a simple cleaning to treatment of serious dental disease.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture clinics are carried out here by a qualified veterinary surgeon. Acupuncture can be used in the management of chronic pain secondary to conditions such as arthritis, and is very well tolerated by most pets.
Puppy Parties
For all puppies who receive their 1st vaccinations with us, we offer a place on one of our Puppy Socialisation Parties (£5 fee for each class, at time of booking). This is a fun event and includes socialisation, handling and answering questions about puppy ownership from one of our Vet Nurses and a qualified behaviourist.
Exotics Referral Practice
Our vet, Tiziana Togni has a Certificate of General Practice in Exotics, and will take first opinion and referral cases from other veterinary practices for any pet (not a cat, dog or livestock).
Her case load is ever growing, and she is becoming a popular choice around the area for treatment of exotic pets.
Please call us on 01626 354260, to book an appointment or ask your vet to refer you to her.
